Street race rules and event details for Checotah Sports Complex (Checotah, OK).

Admission and Bands

General Admission
  • $10.00 per person
  • 10 years and under free
  • Must have arm band to enter
  • No arm band = made to leave (no exceptions)
Drivers and Crew Bands
  • Each class entry receives a driver band + 1 crew band with registration fee
  • Additional crew bands: $10 each (at registration table)
  • $20 registration fee helps cover event costs (insurance, bleachers, barriers, etc.)

Rules and Important Information

  • Race Master has final call
  • 100% payback, 80/20 split
  • You can only enter 2 classes per vehicle
  • If you enter two classes, you are only guaranteed 15 minutes of cool down between rounds
  • No first round call outs (no exceptions)
  • After you get put out and time permits, grudge racing may happen between rounds
  • All cars must make a pass and drive back under their own power (no tow vehicles)

  • Racing straight off the trailer
  • 1 burnout
  • Tire crack is a jump
  • First is worst
  • Cross is a loss
  • Water burnout only
  • Tech errors must be called out before cars leave the starting line (tire size, interior requirements, class fit)
  • Protest costs $100. If you win, you get it back. If you lose, you lose it.
  • If you protest your race, tell the starter before the next race begins. Race stops, camera footage reviewed, Race Master decides.
  • For protest of jump/finish line/cross/etc, both drivers must have a designated representative present for the official ruling.

  • All cars must go through tech and get a class sticker
  • No leaks, clean undercarriage, helmet, racing suit (long sleeves/pants), all lug nuts, working harnesses/seatbelts
  • A/C must be turned off
  • Battery secured
  • Aftermarket fuel cells must have a rollover check valve on the vent
  • No extended weight bars past rear bumper (parachute mount/parachute only). Parachute mounts cannot be used as wheelie bars
  • All weight must be contained within the car, secured, and approved by tech
  • You must run doors (automatic DQ)
  • No passengers (automatic DQ)
  • No drinking or drug use while racing (automatic DQ)
  • If any part flies off (hood, trunk lid, scoop, axle, etc) and affects the other driver before the finish line, automatic DQ
For the integrity of the event: engine diapers are highly recommended.

Classes and Rules

Payout: 80/20 split paid in cash. F.O.S. has donated $625 to the pot to the winner.
  • Vehicle must be tagged, titled, and insured (no dealer tags). Paper tags must be for that vehicle and in date.
  • No AWD
  • Must have functioning headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, factory dash, and tag light
  • Hard tire only. No soft DOT tires. Street tire example: 300 tread wear. No exceptions.
  • Must have factory front glass and factory body panels (aftermarket bumper/cover ok)
  • Subframe connectors allowed
  • Fiberglass/carbon fiber hood and trunk lid allowed
  • Factory style suspension in stock location
  • Full factory interior required
  • No power adders (naturally aspirated only). Factory power-adder cars not allowed in this class.
  • Must have a functioning alternator
  • Encouraged to attend Cruise Night (not required)
  • Cannot use ATV/golf cart/etc to get to line or return

Payout: 80/20 split paid in cash.
  • Vehicle must be tagged, titled, and insured (no dealer tags). Paper tags must be for that vehicle and in date.
  • Must have functioning headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, factory dash and tag light
  • No slicks. DOT tires only. Drag radials allowed. No bald tires.
  • AWD allowed. No soft tire for AWD. Minimum 200 tread wear.
  • Factory glass, factory body panels, factory frame
  • Bolt-in/weld-in K-members allowed. Subframe connectors allowed.
  • Fiberglass/carbon fiber hood allowed. Hood may be omitted.
  • Trucks may have Lexan rear glass for roll cage only
  • No mini-tubs or full tubs
  • Full factory interior including door panels and front dash. At least two front seats required. Backseat can be removed.
  • Roll cages allowed for safety
  • Factory style suspension in stock location. Shock relocation kits allowed (example Novas). Aftermarket shocks/springs allowed.
  • Footbrake only. No transbrake, launch control, or 2-steps. If equipped, must be disabled. Using them is a DQ.
  • No parachutes
  • Single power adder only (twins ok for turbo). One nitrous kit, one Procharger, etc.
  • Exhaust must exit behind front doors and have a muffler. Turbo counts as muffler but must still exit behind driver door.
  • Must have a functioning alternator
  • Cannot use ATV/golf cart/etc to get to line or return

Payout: 80/20 split paid in cash.
  • General race requirements apply
  • Must have come from factory with a tailgate and it must be present and fold down
  • Vehicle must be tagged, titled, and insured (no dealer tags). Paper tags must be for that vehicle and in date.
  • Must have functioning headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals and tag light
  • All steel. Composite hood and trunk ok. Fiberglass stock-appearing and functional front end ok. Lexan front windshield ok for safety.
  • Any tire size not exceeding 29.5 x 10.5
  • Street legal
  • Cannot use ATV/golf cart/etc to get to line or return

Payout: 80/20 split paid in cash.
  • 28.0 x 10.5 Non-W (max tire size) or radial, no wheel limit
  • Must have steel roof and quarters unless different from factory (example Corvettes). Convertibles must have roll bar.
  • All steel and glass. Composite hood and trunk ok.
  • Must be a door car with interior and factory dash
  • No funny car cage
  • Working headlights, tail lights, brake lights, factory dash, tag and insurance
  • No full tube chassis cars (this is a small tire class)
  • Must start from the driver’s seat
  • No wheelie bars
  • Must have driveshaft safety loop
  • Cannot use ATV/golf cart/etc to get to line or return

Payout: 80/20 split paid in cash.
  • Tire size 33.0 x 16.0 max
  • Must have steel roof and quarters unless different from factory (example Corvettes). Convertibles must have roll bar.
  • All steel. Composite hood and trunk ok. Fiberglass stock-appearing and functional front end ok. Lexan front windshield ok for safety.
  • Must be a door car
  • Must start from the driver’s seat
  • Must have driveshaft safety loop
  • Working headlights, tail lights, brake lights, tag and insurance
  • Back half ok
  • 4 link ok
  • Tube chassis ok with certification (must have certification)
  • This class is for the most extreme street cars. If you meet the above, run what you brung.
